Home SliderKentucky Oral Health Coalition members and oral health stakeholders from across the state convened virtually for the Madisonville Regional Oral Health Summit on Friday, June 10th. KOHC kicked off the meeting by sharing information about the Coalition, our 2023 policy agenda, recent projects, and our 2022 – 2023 membership drive.

Alicia Whatley, Policy and Advocacy Director with Kentucky Youth Advocates, shared several recent projects from the Coalition including:

KOHC is currently developing our policy agenda that members will vote to finalize later this year. Please contact us if you would like to share a policy idea or the priorities your organization plans to focus on in 2023.

KOHC membership for 2022 – 2023 is happening now! KOHC now offers 6 membership levels, including a new small business membership. New or renewing business and organizational members can now specify named members with their dues to receive CEUs for KOHC meetings and events. Memberships are good for one year and are renewed in July.

KOHC members enjoy the opportunity to:

  • Earn CEUs for KOHC meetings and events for dentists and dental hygienists
  • Network and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, organizations, and agencies
  • Learn about best practices, resources, and ways to improve all Kentuckians’ oral health
  • Be part of a collective voice to make a true impact on oral health in Kentucky

In addition to the KOHC update, meeting attendees also heard from Dr. Pam Stein VanArsdall about oral cancer in Kentucky and Dr. Ashley Clark on the oral manifestations of sexually transmitted infections.
