    Based on the doodle poll results, our next KOHC Medicaid work group meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at 10 a.m. in Louisville. We are finalizing the meeting location and will send out information ASAP. This will be an in-person meeting with a focus on advancing our initial conversation in December.     The Kentucky Dental Association is holding a Legislative Day on Tuesday, February 24th in Room 131 of the Capitol Annex from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This will give oral health professionals and advocates an opportunity to engage with elected officials.

    The Children's Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) advises the Medicaid Advisory Council and makes recommendations to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services on issues related to children's health and the Medicaid program.  The Children's TAC will take place on March 11, 2015 at 2:00pm- 3:30pm.     The Dental Technical Advisory Committee works with the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance and the commissioner of Medicaid to resolve issues in the dental health system.     We are scheduled to have our school based oral health work group call on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm ET. We have a lot to discuss; the results of the oral health screening survey that was sent to school nurses and FRYSCs, a possible focus on dental sealants in the schools, and ideas about holding an in person work group meeting this summer.  Please contact me if you have any questions.
