Kentucky Oral Health Coalition (KOHC) is dedicated to improving oral health for all Kentuckians. Our work includes sharing the latest oral health resources, gathering and curating available oral health data, and prioritizing policy solutions to improve oral health. Through our work to improve oral health for all, we place an emphasis on identifying underserved populations and prioritizing efforts to meet their oral health needs.

KOHC has a wide network of partners and members across the state, working on projects and providing care to patients. We are excited to announce the latest round of opportunity for organizations to receive funding to help support this important work.

Last year’s funding was awarded to Safe Harbor of Northeastern Kentucky, who helped provide major restorative dental care to victims of domestic violence, and to Lincoln Trail District Health Department, who worked to increase oral health education, awareness, and connections with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

We are now accepting proposals to fund new or ongoing oral health projects that reach underserved populations in Kentucky. Proposals should meet the criteria outlined below and be focused on meeting the oral health needs and improving outcomes for a specific population that is currently or historically underserved, including but not limited to: those without insurance coverage, low-income individuals, rural residents, BIPOC communities, and those with disabilities.

Funding range: $2,500-$10,000

Project timeframe: 2/1/25-8/1/25

Eligibility:

  • Must be a Kentucky non-profit organization and be able to provide documentation if awarded
