In less than two weeks, Kentucky Oral Health Coalition along with advocates from across the state will unite to raise their voices on behalf of children’s safety, health, education, and economic well-being at Children’s Advocacy Week. This year the 17th annual gathering hosted by Kentucky Youth Advocates (KYA) will be held virtually February 1 – 5.

KOHC supports the health policies and budget priorities on the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children. Among these priorities is expanding local control to allow city and county governments the option to regulate the use, display, sale, and distribution of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes.

In the past, Kentucky kids have performed during the Children’s Advocacy Day rally and created art to hang in the tunnel between the Capitol and Annex buildings. This year, Children’s Advocacy Week will feature a virtual art show and recorded performances from kids. All young Kentuckians are encouraged to submit—from babies to young adults. Kentucky parents, caregivers, and educators, we need you to submit your kids’ performances, art, and writing! Please use this form to share your submissions by Monday, January 25th.
