Join Kentucky’s child abuse pediatricians and experts for a free public training on recognizing the signs of pediatric abusive head trauma and how to prevent child maltreatment. Every Kentucky adult is a mandated reporter of child abuse and we each can play a role in keeping kids safe in our community.

Pediatric abusive head trauma, or shaken baby syndrome, is a severe form of child abuse that most often involves infants. In these trainings, participants will learn the early signs of maltreatment and be provided with tools to report suspected abuse and help prevent it from happening in the first place.

FREE Continuing Education credits are available for Social Work, FRYSC coordinators, Early Childhood Educators, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Emergency Medical Service providers.

Oral health professionals play a unique and important role in the prevention, recognition, and reporting of child maltreatment. Join the Kosair Charities Face It Movement and Delta Dental of Kentucky for a FREE training on Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma prevention and recognition.

REGISTER for the FREE virtual training with child abuse pediatrician Dr. Christina Howard on Friday, October 2nd from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET.

Additional Pediatric and Head Trauma Prevention and Recognition Training dates can be found here.
