The next meeting of the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance (MAC) will take place on Thursday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 125 of the Capitol Annex.  The MAC is a group composed of providers, members and health care advocates established by Kentucky state law to advise the Medicaid commissioner on administration and operation of the Medicaid program.  Each of its meetings includes an overview of major issues and initiatives from Medicaid staff, as well as reports from Technical Advisory Committees, which represent most of the major provider groups which serve Medicaid members.  These meetings provide a good opportunity to learn about current Medicaid issues and activities.
