Oral health professionals and advocates in Kentucky are facing plenty of challenges. Published this year, the University of Kentucky Early Learners Survey showed that more than 1/3 of Kentucky children ages 2 – 5 have evidence of dental decay compared to the national average of 23%, while changes to Medicaid make funding solutions more difficult.

But members of the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition connect and strategize to meet these challenges head on with solutions-based education and advocacy.

We are a coalition of advocates who learn from each other and share resources to improve oral health for all Kentuckians. As part of our ongoing work, we network with each other to form unique collaborations and partnerships. We stay connected to national networks to learn and share what’s working to improve oral health access and care. We pull together important voices and perspectives and offer CEU opportunities at least 4 times a year for our members. We develop, vote on, and advocate for coalition policy priorities.

Do you know someone who should be a member of KOHC? Now is the time to invite them to join us to be part of the collective voice to make a lasting impact on oral health in Kentucky.
