SUMMARY:Recognizing and Responding to Neglect for Oral Health Professionals
DESCRIPTION:A virtual training for oral health professionals. \nOral health professionals play a unique and important role in the prevention\, recognition\, and reporting of child maltreatment\, including neglect. Join the Kentucky Oral Health Coalition and Delta Dental of Kentucky for a free\, virtual training with Carla Hay\, pediatric forensic nurse from Kentucky Children’s Hospital\, on Wednesday\, April 5th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET. \nIn this training\, participants will learn to recognize common forms of child neglect\, contributing factors and key principles for assessing neglect\, as well as appropriate response when neglect is identified in the dental office.
